All our jewelry is solid gold, meaning that every piece is generally durable, low-maintenance, fine jewelry that can be worn day + night without worry. With that said, we recommend avoiding wearing your gold jewelry while doing anything extra messy or in places where they may be impacted by chemicals. If your jewelry does get dirty, or has lost some of its shine, here are some recommendations for keeping your gold jewelry looking fresh.
Liquid Jewelry Cleaner + Cloth:
We recommend using a gold cleaner such as Connoisseurs Precious Jewelry Cleaner followed up with their Gold Jewelry Polishing Cloth. It’s a quick one-two step with a rinse and scrub and all can be done in 2 minutes or less.
Home-Made Cleaning Solution:
Another easy and effective way of cleaning your gold is with a liquid dish detergent + warm water mixture. Simply heat up a bowl of water, put in a few drops of liquid dish detergent and mix together until you have a warm soapy bath. Put your jewelry in the bowl and let it soak for 20 minutes. Give it a quick scrub with a toothbrush and you're set.
Keep in mind that gemstones, particularly opals and pearls, may get damaged if exposed to water or cleaning solutions.
