Where do you source your materials?
We love the hunt at Nova Lita Vintage. Only through careful research and countless hours of exploration are able to find the most unique and magical gold & gemstone pieces. We source pieces that we feel convey our vision, are confirmed second-hand and/or ethically sourced, and most importantly, are verified as authentic fine jewelry. From there, we bring home the treasures we’ve found and begin designing what those pieces will come to be in our one-of-a-kind fine jewelry.
Are you using ethically sourced + conflict-free materials?
All of our materials have been sourced via auctions, markets, and second-hand sales. We define all our products as ethically sourced because we only buy + sell pieces that are verified to be ethically sourced, are second-hand, or are made from recycled materials. In other words, rather than impact our world through the detrimental ways that gold, diamonds and gemstones are mined, we prefer to re-use materials that have already lived one or two lives, and are ready for their renewed sense of purpose.
Put simply, with respect to the term “ethically sourced” jewelry, yes, we do consider our process to be an ethical one and are very proud to be a part of the sustainability movement!
How should I clean my Nova Lita jewelry?
Our goal is to bring you low-maintenance, fine jewelry that can be worn day + night without worry. With that said, we recommend avoiding wearing your pieces while doing anything extra messy or while in places where they may be impacted by chemicals. Keeping all of this in mind, below are some recommendations for keeping your NLV jewelry looking fresh:
Liquid Jewelry Cleaner + Cloth:
We recommend using a gold cleaner such as Connoisseurs Precious Jewelry Cleaner followed up with their Gold Jewelry Polishing Cloth. It’s a quick one-two step with a rinse and scrub and all can be done in 2 minutes or less.
*Please keep in mind you should not put opals or pearls into this cleaner as they are very fragile gems and should be handled with care*
Home Made Cleaning:
If you’re like us and need instant gratification, but don’t have the materials listed above, another easy and effective way of cleaning your gold is with a liquid dish detergent + warm water mixture. Simply heat up a bowl of water (or if you have it, sodium-free seltzer water is a great alternative), put in a few drops of liquid dish detergent and mix together until you have a warm soapy bath. Put your jewelry in the bowl and let it soak for 20 minutes. Give it a quick scrub with a toothbrush and you're set.
*Please keep in mind that if you are cleaning jewelry that contains opals or pearls, the water bath should be lukewarm, NOT boiling. These are very fragile gems and should be handled with care*
My NLV jewelry broke - What now?
We’re sorry to hear this and want to make it right! For those pieces that have broken within the first year of purchase, we offer a Care + Repair Warranty for no additional cost. Simply send us an email at email@example.com with a detailed message of your broken piece along with an image showing the damage and we will follow up by sending you a shipping label + instructions for shipping your item back. Once received, we will have it fixed and sent back to you in a timely manner, no questions asked!
If it's been over a year since your purchase, we'd still be happy to repair your piece! Please send us a message and we'll send you a repair quote so we can fix it for you!
Do you design custom pieces?
We do! For those looking to revamp their jewelry collection we offer design + customization services in which we can work together with your budget, vision, and style to create something you’ll love. Feel free to contact us to discuss!
How do I know if something is in or out of stock?
There are very rare occasions that items will show up on site that are out of stock, but with technical glitches, it happens! Don’t worry, if a piece is out of stock it will show it in the details of the product. If this is a piece you loved and missed out on, please consider our custom design services where we will do our best to replicate that piece that got away.
How can I check my order status?
After you have placed your order, you will be sent a confirmation email with an order number. From there, if you choose to create an account you can reference your order by signing into your account and inputting your order number.
Where can I track my shipment?
Once we have confirmed your order you will be given a tracking number where you are able to track your shipment! Please review our shipping policy for further details on processing and shipment timelines.
Is sales tax included in an online order?
Sales tax will only be applied if it's applicable in your state. Any sales tax will be calculated and applied at check out and you will be able to review your order total (including tax) prior to completing your purchase.
What is your return policy?
At this time we do not offer returns and all sales are final. Please feel free to ask us any questions you have prior to your purchase and we will strive to give you as much detailed information as possible so you are 100% confident in your purchase!
