At Nova Lita Vintage, our mission is to sustainably create contemporary fine jewelry designs that are accessible to everyone. Our journey here began from my lifelong passion for jewelry and a desire to make a positive impact on the industry.
My love for gold jewelry was deeply influenced by my Abuelita, who always adorned herself with gold, radiating elegance and grace regardless of the occasion. Growing up, I aspired to emulate her timeless style, igniting my passion for gold. The Lita of Nova Lita was a way to honor her enduring legacy and inspire the love I put into my designs.
As I began my professional career, I immersed myself in the vibrant jewelry and fashion scene of New York City. I worked closely with various jewelry and fashion houses, an invaluable experience that allowed me to intimately familiarize myself with a wide range of metals, gemstones, and styles, encompassing both vintage and contemporary designs. However, I became disheartened by the exorbitant prices of fine jewelry and the negative environmental and social impacts associated with its production. It was during this time that I collaborated with a jewelry resale company, becoming captivated by the untapped potential of vintage pieces.
Driven by my passion, I began upcycling my own personal collection of vintage and forgotten jewelry. I realized that while fashion trends may fade, the beauty and durability of precious metals and gemstones endure indefinitely. Dormant heirlooms, nestled in my jewelry box for years, could be transformed into something fresh and modern, while still preserving their original essence and sentimental value.
As I honed my jewelry-making skills, focusing on upcycling vintage pieces and repurposing gold and gemstones, I made the decision to turn my passion into a full-time endeavor- Nova Lita Vintage was born.
My primary focus lies in creating contemporary looks and styles using the perfected techniques of upcycling and recycling gold that I've developed over the years. I also collaborate closely with my cherished customers, aiming to breathe new life into their heirlooms and empower them to rediscover the beauty and significance within each well-loved gem.
Every creation you encounter in our store is meticulously handcrafted and designed by myself. Together with my husband, Justin, who lends his expertise in mineral and gemstones as well as photography, we pour our hearts into every aspect of Nova Lita Vintage. Our aim is to provide you with a delightful jewelry shopping experience while championing the values of small businesses and ethically created jewelry.
